Umstead’s forest was not the only thing campers guarded this week! Whether it was protecting themselves from the Lich as they searched for her heart or preventing their feathers being stolen during Six Feathers, everyone took their job as guardian very seriously this week!

Campers made sure to make this week count as they did a little bit of everything! The group had a chance to work on their whittling growth rings, played Defeat the Lich, Bakweli, and partook in many other Schoolhouse classics too!

The group had many uses for the Cedar Tree as they played in Umstead State Park this week! They used it’s leaves for cedar ceremonies, made art projects out of it’s wood, and hid in it’s shade when playing games and splashing in the creek!

Campers got to experience two adventures at the same time during this program! They got to explore and play in Umstead Park while also designing and playing their own Fantasy Story Building Game!

Campers had blast this week participating in a mix of crafts, games, and creek time! When the group needed to take breaks from the rain, they made friendship bracelets, played games, and shared stories!
